Trees for Free
We are giving away trees to local residents.. for free! That could be for your garden, your business forecourt, or your local school. All you have to do is promise to give them a good soaking during hot and dry weather. Read on for more details
What types of tree do you have?
We have a variety of trees: from oaks to hawthorns to fruit trees.
How big will the tree(s) grow?
Depending on the site, we can either choose a dwarf root-stock so the tree grows no more than 1.5m, or we can provide trees that will grow to full size.
Why are you doing this?
It is getting hotter and will continue to do so for decades. Portsmouth is the UK city most at risk from the effects of heatwaves: due to the lack of green spaces and street trees.
Trees and greenery can really help, as they provide shade which cools the streets and buildings but also they cool the air because they release moisture through their leaves.
