Immediate start

We need help to promote our educational courses, events and projects and are looking for someone to post content on our IG account, and potentially get a TikTok account up and running.

Skills needed

• Previous experience of running an Instagram account

• Experience/an interest in Marketing and Social Media.

• A commitment to volunteering on a regular basis.

• Self-motivated with a creative flair.

• An understanding of sustainability

Tasks include:

• Posting on Instagram at least once a week, preferably twice

• Build our reach and increase number of followers

• Working with the graphic design team to create and post online content, promoting our educational courses and workshops

• Developing brand awareness and an online reputation.

Location: Mostly working from home with Google Meets as needed. There will also be occasional in person meet ups with core team.

Time commitment: Ideally we are looking for a volunteer to commit to a couple of hours a week- to suit your schedule. The role (after a trial period) is for a minimum of 3 months.

We need help to turn our research into infographics alongside creating attractive graphics for our workshops, projects and campaigns.

• Graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Suite, PowerPoint etc)

• Previous experience of creating content for Facebook & Instagram

• Ability to communicate and coordinate with rest of team

• A knowledge of sustainability / climate crisis would be preferred

• A commitment to volunteering for at least 3 months.

Tasks include:

• Developing infographics in co-operation with our research assistants. The goal is to educate and motivate people about climate change.

• Liaising with the core team to create content for our IG, Facebook, as well as promotional materials for our campaigns and projects.

• Liaising with the core team to create video content for the Climate Champions campaign, which will feature local businesses, organisations and residents who are doing their bit to make Portsmouth a greener, less polluted and happier place.

• Working with the graphic design team to produce online content, promoting our educational courses and workshops

• Developing content that draws the attention of different social groups and ages.

• Developing brand awareness and an online reputation.

Do you have experience / knowledge in how to green transport, domestic homes, construction, or businesses? We want to expand our core team so we can do even more exciting projects such as decarbonise the Hayling Ferry, advise Victorious on how to run a greener festival, push for buses to be taken back into public ownership and so on.

Skills needed

• A passion for sustainability / climate action

• Some experience or knowledge of how to green transport / homes / construction / business supply chains etc

• A willingness to work within a team, but also to head up projects (if needed)

• A commitment to volunteering on a regular basis, for at least 3 months.

• Self-motivated with a creative flair.

Tasks include:

• Identifying opportunities to speed up the energy transition locally

• Working with the core team to create and deliver projects

• Advising PCA on sustainability issues that fall within your area of knowledge.

Immediate start

We are looking for someone with research skills / experience, ideally coupled with an understanding of the ecological and the climate crisis.

Our research briefs change regularly but at the moment include: mapping what a ‘well being economy’ would look like and how we get there; summarising the impact of climate change on food prices and home insurance and detailing other examples of global problems that were resolved through evidence based policy and co-operation.

Skills needed:

• Research experience
• Understanding of the ecological and climate crisis (desirable)
• Data visualisation or infographic [desirable]

Tasks include:

• Help us update the content of our climate awareness courses and workshops.
• Compiling reputable sources and summarizing the findings in accessible language.

Location: working from home with occasional in person meetings

Time commitment: 5- 10 hours a month, hours can be fitted in with your schedule
