Nature Thrive event
Join us on Sat 11th Oct at the Wilder Eastney site for a morning of helping nature to thrive. During the session we'll be tending to the young fruit trees, improving grassland habitat, and jazzing up the raised beds with wild thyme, marjoram, native wildflowers etc.
It can be very challenging for wildlife to safely move from place to place, especially with busy roads, buildings, walls and tarmac surrounding them. However, the Wilder Easteny site (Marine Court Garden) is an excellent example of urban green space that provides a home and safe refuge to a variety of wildlife including birds, small mammals and minibeasts.
Join us here for the morning, where we'll be helping nature to thrive. During the session we'll be tending to the young fruit trees, improving grassland habitat, cutting back invasive plants and clearing overgrown vegetation from the raised beds, replacing with new soil, herbs and native wildflowers. We will also be doing a litter pick and recording what wildlife we spot. Please wear sensible outdoor clothing and footwear. Hope to see you there!
